Commision one for yourself or as a gift for a loved one – the outcome can be as simple or as elaborate as you want.

Family and friends are invited to meet (often online), for a relaxing evening of sharing thoughts, feelings, memories and stories about the person (the ‘Fly’) for whom the funeral is for.

 Only one rule applies – the ‘Fly’ must be absent from this meeting.

The end result can be as simple as a written tribute, a complete written funeral script, or for the completist – an entire enacted “funeral” service, but with the ‘Fly’ present on the wall.

Macabre for some, hugely rewarding and loving for others –  this option gives you the chance to say the things you want to say, or to see the way you are seen, to know the difference you have made in the world. For some, loss of a loved one might be imminent, and for others hopefully not. However, the experience will always be tactfully and sensitively approached, and according to your lead, it can also be a fun and enjoyable event for friends and family to get together and talk.
